    Brown Robin Nature Reserve Spring Walk

    If your passion, and reason for visiting the Lake District this Easter is nature, during your stay with us take a day trip to Grange-Over-Sands. On April 14th, Tony Saunders who is the Honorary Reserve Manager is hosting a guided two mile walk to see the first birds returning to the reserve, including potential sightings of the rare Hawfinch.     Quiz Night at The Sticklebarn

    Or if you prefer a good knees up after a long day walking on the fells we’d strongly recommend heading to The Sticklebarn quiz night in the stunning Langdale Valley, the pub is just a short 7mile scenic drive from us here in Ambleside.     A host of Daffodils Guided Walk

    Are you a fan of William Wordsworth? Then this guided walk on April 19th is not to be missed! The event starts at the picturesque location of Ullswater Information Centre in Glenridding, a 30 minute drive from Ambleside. Walk goers will start by taking the steam train from Glenridding to the famed Aira Force waterfalls and the site of Wordsworth’s golden daffodils.     Greenburn Valley and Helm Crag Guided Walk

    If you’re interested in challenging more difficult walking routes, sign up for the guided walk through Greenburn Valley and onto Helm Crag. This is a great walk that starts in Grasmere, just a 4.7 mile drive from Ambleside. The route boasts spectacular views and you will even pass the famous ‘Lion and the Lamb’ rocks before descending back into Grasmere. Find out more here: https://bit.ly/2YAt1FW
